Music education initiative for school classes in Austria
As the official partner and ambassador of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation in Austria, the Haus der Musik, following the music learning programme “Stairplay – Music Step by Step”, has successfully launched further projects. Thanks to the financial support of the Soulier Family as a “Platinum Donor”, the musical instruments necessary for teaching have been acquired for the Music School Enzersdorf. In addition, this donation has enabled the music education offerings in the Haus der Musik, above all those for schools, to be further expanded.
The Haus der Musik is the official partner and ambassador of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation in Austria. The main intention is not only to support the conveying and promoting of music, but actively to put it at the heart of its work. Through a range of music education projects, the goal is to make the diversity of music uniquely accessible to as many people as possible – and above all, to children.
After the first joint project, “Stairplay – Music Step by Step”, a further project in the spirit of this communal initiative to teach music has been realized. Owing to the financial support of the Soulier Family as a “Platinum Donor”, the musical instruments required for teaching have been purchased for the Music School Enzersdorf. In addition, this gift has made it possible for the offerings in the Haus der Musik relating to music pedagogy, above all those for schools, to be further expanded.
“Our key goal is not only to awaken a curiosity for music as early as possible, but also to convey to children and youths the fun to be had in making music,” in the words of Simon K. Posch, Director of the Haus der Musik. An essential approach, to be continued in future projects that convey music in all its varieties, too, in collaboration with the Lang Lang International Music Foundation.
