Accessibility – General Information

All public areas of Haus der Musik are accessible without any restrictions. Main and side entrance: no steps, automatic sliding door. Access to all exhibition rooms and café: no steps (via elevator)

Wheelchair-accessible restroom on ground floor. Admission is free for persons accompanying blind visitors and wheelchair users.

Permission to bring along a guide dog is granted.

Free mediation programme for visitors who are deaf or visually impaired

The Sound Museum offers special guided tours for visitors who are deaf or visually impaired. Thanks to the kind support of Casinos Austria, participants enjoy the offer free of charge. 

Haus der Musik takes you on a musical discovery journey. Visitors of all ages get to meet the great masters of music history and discover giant instruments as well as various sound installations which make it possible to see and feel music. In context of the project “Barrierefrei im Haus der Musik” (Accessibility at Haus der Musik) participants enjoy free museum entry and special guided tours thanks to the kind support of Casinos Austria.
