Chopin in Vienna

Special exhibition from 4 March to 30 April 2010
Three cities played an important role in Frédéric Chopin's life: Warsaw, Paris and Vienna. He grew up and received his musical training in Warsaw. He further developed his talents in Paris, where he also lived and died. And finally, he spent nine months in Vienna. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth, Haus der Musik is presenting a special exhibition devoted to his time in Vienna.

Marko Simsa, Bernhard Fibich and Mai Cocopelli - our "Kids in Action" stars
The children's events at Haus der Musik's are among its most popular attractions. Regardless of whether Marko Simsa tells stories about composers, operas or musical instruments, Bernhard Fibich animates his listeners to sing along, or Mai Cocopelli takes them on a journey into the land of dreams, the audience's attention is guaranteed. Our programme for March and April includes performances by all three of them: Marko Simsa on March 26, Bernhard Fibich on March 19, and Mai Cocopelli on April 2, each at 3:30pm.
