Chopin Around - Frédéric Chopin goes Jazz!
Chopin-Crossover with Agata Zubel, Cezary Duchnowski, Jacek Kochan, Andrzej Bauer and Maciej Walczak on
April 16, 2010
Chopin Around a superb crossover of Jazz, improv and diverse musical instruments, is a highlight of Haus der Musik's Chopin programming. A feast for eyes and ears, it is the perfect complement to our exhibition "Chopin in Vienna."
Inspired by Frédéric Chopin's preludes, Op. 28, the polish musicians play at 7pm in Haus der Musik's performance hall. Soprano peppered with electric tunes, cello, piano and drums combine to create an overwhelming element of improvisation and interplay.
The concert is held in context of the special exhibition "Chopin in Vienna," which can be seen until April 30, 2010.
We are looking forward to an entertaining evening of Chopin-crossover!
Chopin in Vienna

Three cities played an important role in Frédéric Chopin's life: Warsaw, Paris and Vienna. He grew up and received his musical training in Warsaw. He further developed his talents in Paris, where he also lived and died. And finally, he spent nine months in Vienna. On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth, Haus der Musik is presenting a special exhibition devoted to his time in Vienna.
