Viennese Modernism - A new musical era
Special exhibition in the Haus der Musik
When Arnold Schönberg broke with all traditions with his completely new way of composing more than a century ago, he ushered in one of the most radical upheavals in the history of music. As the father of twelve tone music, he is one of the great pioneers of Viennese Modernism alongside Klimt, Schiele and Wagner. The Haus der Musik now dedicates the new special exhibition to him and his pupils Alban Berg and Anton Webern, taking place in the inner courtyard from February 2nd to October 7th, 2018. Listen to the new music of the new era, and delve into the world of the composers and their contemporaries.
